2009-08-22   It all comes down to one race!-- Next Wed night at the Oval is the final B points race of the season. Team UPMC is solidly in the lead for the team series title, but can wrap it up with a strong performance. In the individual series, Rutledge and Milbrandt are tied for second place, just 1 point behind first place Carl Flink and 2 points ahead of upstart Eddie Grystar, Jr. It all comes down to this final race, which will be the P-course, weather permitting. If things play out just right, we could take both the team title AND first and second place in the individual series. Should be an exciting race! 

2009-05-01   Team UPMC to provide bike escorts for Pittsburgh Marathon-- UPMC Cycling Performance will provide bike escorts for this Sunday's Pittsburgh Marathon. This is the first time bikes have been used instead of polution-belching motorcycles in a major marathon. We will be supporting the race, including providing race reports during the race, accompanying the lead runners in both the men's and women's marathon and half, as well as the wheelchair events. 2009-03-19   MS150 Expo-- The UPMC Cycling Performance Team will help host the MS150 Expo at the Western PA MS Society Headquarters on Reedsdale Street on the North Shore. Eric Hodos will give a presentation on training for long distance cycling at 10:45am. At 12:45pm, the team will lead a ride over to Over the Bar on the Southside.
